Im a older woman who everyone says looks a lot younger. I live alone the past few years and have dated like crazy. I got hooked on one booty call guy a lot younger than myself, and it has hurt a lot to work at ending it with him. My grown daughter wont let me see my three grandchildren because she doesnt like that my appearance has improved a lot and Im dating a lot and I go out an dance (I dont drink or do drugs) She is used to me being a devoted mother and wife and grandmother, but Im not married anymore and I live alone. Im not a sexist, but women in this generation are repulsive. Seriously, I have swore off dating because the only girls I see are of the "party girl" variety. They really sicken me. They drink and smoke heavily(which is repulsive), are obnoxious, have a foul mouth, and dress/act like wh0res. And theyre mostly lazy, gold-diggers, who enjoy emasculating men. They demand everything from their men, but dont give a second thought about giving anything back. Its all about them. They only care about having a good time and partying 24/7. Must be the "MTV Generation". This pretty much sums up the typical american girl/woman: The party girl will spend all night drinking, dancing, experimenting with drugs, and generally trying to cast as much attention upon themselves as possible. In the mornings they are nowhere to be found, as they are hiding indoors sleeping off their hangovers and staying close to the toilet bowl. If a party girl happens to be forced awake at an ungodly hour such as 1 PM or earlier, they will undoubtedly be found with over-sized sunglasses on their face to hide the wear and tear of long nights, and carrying around a Red Bull. All party girls have some degree of STD, like AIDS or herpes. Their defense for their behaviors is often something like "Im just a young girl having fun". This excuse is often used well into their twent.... thirties. :/ Popular habits among this breed of females include clubbing, hooking up with random dudes(supposedly wealthy ones), attending keggers, flaunting and parading their bodies and sexuality around, and the consumption of booze and drugs. Tell me Im wrong. Who finds these types of people amusing, let alone ATTRACTIVE?!?! PS: This is what happens when you let your kids listen/look up to garbage like Ke$ha and lady GAGa.

Complicated Situation?

So heres my problem, at school every attractive girl that are attracted to me are all on drugs,smokes cigs, hangs out with the wrong crowds. Im an attractive, healthy guy that never touched cigs, drugs and never will..I only drink once in a while In my past relationships I dated those kind of girls and it wasnt enjoyable at all and im sick of it. I tried everything to make them stop..but their still hooked for good. One time, the friend of my ex did an overdose and she started to do the seizure dance on floor. Anyway, I start noticing everyone doing drugs at my school for no reasons, some of my past friends got influenced. Especially by those girls in order to be cool, to please them, to fit in the group. Its like i have to do drugs in order to go out with the girls that im attracted to all the time. Should I keep looking or should I start dating girls that im not attracted to, since some of them are not on drugs?

Bored With Life. I need some answers?

I am a 21 year old full time student. All my friends are either losers (hooked on drugs/alcohol) or have moved on. My best friend doesnt come around anymore due to his PTSD. Thusly, I have no friends. I am sick of sitting at home playing video games to pass the time. The bars around my area are either horrible or make you feel like an outsider. There are a lot of cliques in my town. I dont fit into any of them. I like geek things, and wanted to start playing Warhammer, but I feel like if I do that, I might as well give up on finding a girlfriend. Speaking of which, I must be pretty ugly because I have never had a girlfriend. I went to prom with my neighbor, but she ditched me to snort pills in the bathroom. Im fairly shy, but not so shy that I cant have a normal conversation with a stranger. You would never find me on the dance floor. I feel like everybody is getting by so much better than I am, even though I am a smart, kind person. I am seriously frustrated with life. I feel hopeless and powerless. Any advice would help. Okay Im a little worried?

Im one of those nice guy geeks that never got the women in high school. But I worked my ass off in school. I was in a internship in repairing computers, and I am right now in collage in Ferris State. All the women want bad boys, and adventurous type, im not like that. I dont do drugs, I dont drink, I dont smoke, ( well maybe a cigar on celebrations but that is it. ). When I look into my future I see me getting a good paying job, a good car, and a great house. Because I work for it. ok so my parents are crazy!!!! im not allowed to do ANYTHING!!! k so im 17. ill be 18 in march. im not allowed to date, my curfew is 9:30, even on the weekends, im not allowed to drive anywhere far, i wont be allowed to go to my prom, ive only been to one dance in all my 3 years of high school, im not even allowed to hang out with guys outside of school, they expect me to get straight As, go to med school, be a doctor, marry a doctor, and never do anything wrong at alll like ever, not even do anything remotely borderline wrong. i seriously dont know what to do. you might say that ill be 18 soon so ill be free next year but guess what? theyre not letting me go anywhere far for college. i have to live and home which means that ill still live under their rules when im 18-21. and then i dont know what theyll do when i go to medical school. omg i dont even know. today my mom freaked out on me for going to pizza hut with my friend after school without telling her because she claims she needs to know where i am at all times. AHHH what do i do. oh and btw, i never drank, never smoked, never done drugs, never even hooked up with a guy (just kissing and if they knew about that, theyd flip). i cant deall with this anymore. oh and i officially am only allowed out twice a month, once every other weekend. i just cannot live like this anymore. i have a nice expensive car, great friends, lots of guys like me and tell me im pretty, i have a lot going for me but i just cant really have a life because of my parents!! what can i dooooo to get them to chill out!!!! no it will not be over when im 18 because theyre forcing me to live at home next year!!!! and i have to still do whatever they want i really do wanna go to med school but them pressuring me is just stressing me out
Answer: The reality is that you're making a choice to stay at home. They can't FORCE you once you are age 18...but you have an expensive car, money, and they're probably paying for college, right? I'm not judging -- just saying you DO have a choice (not a fun one, but still a choice). It's hard for parents (especially overzealous ones) to let go of their kids. My oldest will be 18 in 3 months and his girlfriend can't believe I know his myspace/facebook/email/iPhone passwords. Or that I know where he is 24/7. But, he has the freedom he's earned, not to mention my trust and respect -- because he's EARNED it. Ask your most flexible/reasonable parent for a sit-down alone together. Ask what it is you need to do to demonstrate that you are deserving of their trust. Without emotion, tell them that you believe they are making these choices to protect you but that you feel like acting out over the constant protection. Try to work something out -- be specific in your plan. Offer to get a GPS sattelite phone so they can track you (if you're doing nothing wrong, you shouldn't care). Offer to sign a parent/child contract that guarantees your abstinence, continued no drug/drinking policy, and to keep up your grades. Ask for what you think you can realistically get. One date to the prom (supervised, no after party) would be a reasonable request. Let them drive you & your friends, or play chaperone in the front seat of the limo. Dress conservatively, have a date they approve of and know. I'm not saying it's fair -- but you have to build the relationship you want in baby steps. This is ALL on you, because they are controlling the finances and believe you won't make a decision that compromises all they give you. I am sorry -- my son & I have a great relationship overall. I do worry about him but I know when it's time to let go. Help your parents get to that step -- in baby steps!

College girls 18 through 24, how would YOU have reacted to this loser?

There is this guy in my class who has been in 2 others in the past. We majored in the same thing which was criminal justice. Back then, he was on the heavy side. An older student. About 26 at the time. Always talking about comic book superheros and video games to the other guys. I would sit in the middle left of the room as he sat in the back. Occasionally, Id smile at him. He seemed to be a guy who women did not take notice in much and so he looked behind him to make sure it was not someone else I was smiling at. Nothing came of it. Then we have a political class together and this time, he sits in front of me as we are to the back of the room. Now, he is all slimmed down and muscular like a basket ball player. In only about 4 months or so. Well Id scratch his back, wave to him, smile at him. Still seemed shy as afraid to make a move. We talked throughout the semester. I told him I am a waitress at the moment but want to get into police work. He told me he wants to get out his moms basement for so long and works at a warehouse. Also, he believes that the war on drugs is a horrible thing to wage on the people of America and marijuana should be legalized. Now keep in mind that this guy was a criminal justice major. He never made a pass at me or anything that semester. 3rd class, next semester, were in class together again. He sat in the back, Id sit in the left middle chatting up with my male friends. As the months went on, wed chat and whatnot. Id walk by his desk until he noticed me and then Id wave. One day, I went up to him and felt his arm. He blushed. One night, he Myspaced me and said I had a cute smile. We got into a conversation about life and he said he never got around to having a girlfriend mainly because his mother is over bearing and he never developed like everyone around him so therefore, never hooked up, felt up, got close, never danced, never dated a girl in his life and he felt they were always out of reach. He went into the military at age 22 and got kicked out after only being in there for 6 weeks due to not telling anyone at MEPS he spoke to a doctor when his dad died. His mom made him go he said. Before and after that, he has been in and out of trades and finding out what he finally wants in life. The next week, I saw that he had his number in his hand. Looked like he was about to say hi to me as I walked by but I simply told him, "Dont talk to me." and sat down. He looked like an idiot. lol. Someone like this man does not deserve anyone as he is clearly damaged beyond repair. I dont know why he even bothers going to school. Does he actually think hell get a job with an associates degree? I heard from a friend of mine ho is in her class, she is 19 by the way and they chat it up. Well she told me that he is almost graduating but not in a degree in criminal justice as this loser changed his major because of his moronic beliefs. He is about to graduate. But still. What do you people think?

He said it takes place in New York, and is very funny. About a girl that wants more than anything to be a dancer. Is there anyone out there similar to me?

Im a male uni student and I dont drink, party, club, do drugs, smoke, dance, swear, or throw 100s of dollars away to have the latest fashions. I wouldnt date a girl just because she was hot and similarly I wouldnt want to randomly hook up with girls. Id rather be in a meaningful long term relationship and Id rather be out enjoying nature, travelling and photographing (in contrast to my peers boasting about who can drink the most alcohol). I dont intend to change, I am who I am and intend to stay true to that but it seems every person I meet at uni is the opposite of me. So my question is, is there anyone out there who even remotely shares my views? Or am I as alone in this as I think I am? BTW, I know Ill probably get blasted for even suggesting that alcohol isnt the wonder its made out to be so if you want to criticise me, go ahead, Im used to taking slack for not drinking. Its more a reflection on your maturity (or lack thereof) that you cannot accept anothers choices.

S. Risien Russell, the neurologist, during an address at the Institute of Hygiene yesterday. Dr. Russell recalled a notorious legal case when a member of the medical profession said that women lived on excitement and kept themselves going by means of alcohol. Drugs, he said, might have been added, for evidently women were able to secure drugs to keep themselves going with little or no food and next to no sleep. The picture was distasteful to those who remembered the healthy lives that women lived formerly. The matter was degrading in women of mature years, but far more important was the case of the modern girl. Whether or not the war was to be blamed for the change, the girl of the present day, even when still in her teens, had a freedom of action and liberty fraught with more than one danger. The chaperon was in the main a thing of the past, and young girls were free to go out with young men not only to restaurants and dances but to night clubs with no sort of restriction and no limit of time. The result was that the whole or the greater part of the night was spent in frivolity, with no time left for sleep, so that a day following this full round of social and other engagements could only be got through with the assistance of alcohol or drugs. Girls not long from school were to be seen drinking cocktails, champagne, and liqueurs, while in time whiskies and sodas were added to the list of stimulants required to keep them going. Scarcely had the age of twenty been reached before the lines that rightly belonged to the woman of middle-age had become evident in such girls. Was it to be supposed that when girls of this kind reached womanhood and became mothers they could produce men and women with anything but the most miserable physique and of the neurotic type? It was certain that a considerable proportion of our girls acquired the habit of living on excitement so much so that they found themselves unable to break the habit and live a normal life with any prospect of happiness, and so unfitted themselves for motherhood and the duties and responsibilities of married life. There was a happy mean at which to aim in the training of children, but it would be far better for their nervous systems were young people compelled to return to the strict discipline of the Victorian era than that things should remain as at present.’ (The Guardian, 18th February 2012)

Answer: Mushrooms are a hallucinogen and more than likely you're not going to find mushrooms as your gateway drug to other drugs. Judging by the mindset you've already set up for yourself now, don't do it. They're not going to kill you, not going to leave you paralyzed, not going to do anything horrible to you. However, if you have that mindset of "I'm not sure I want to try them", then don't because you'll just end up freaking out and ruining everyone else's experience along with yours. Vibes and a positive mindset are everything for drugs.
