Are there any born again Christians here with testimonies that are filled with signs of the power of God?
There are so many uninformed, irrational people who post insulting questions & comments about the bible & Jesus that that it amazes me. I honestly believe the drug culture we live in today has more to do with the sate of mind of these people than any claim of intelligence.
How has your faith changed what could not have been changed in the natural?
Here is one of my testimonies. Let me first give this disclaimer; I believe that just as Judas was one of the disciples who was sent out ahead of Jesus & came back with reports of miracles, we have leaders today who have turned from the faith & started to enrich themselves as the bible predict. Any names of television ministers here is not an approval of them. It is a fact that God used them.
I was going through a very rough time at the church where I worked. I was very depressed. I was being laughed at & mocked by the pastors themselves. It was a very small island community & my whole family got involved, not to support me to discredit me. They distanced themselves, even further than they already were, from me. Not one person was talking to me. I was devastated, the pain was so great inside that it was like being overstuffed from eating too much food.
I sprained my ankle carrying breakfast dishes from the cafeteria to the conference room. I was not helped by anyone down the stairs but hopped on one leg whiles holding on the railing after waiting for over an hour amongst the broken china I was forced to go back to work by my family after being home for one day with my ankle still swollen. I took a 15 minute tea break in the cafeteria resting my leg in a chair in front of me. The 700 Club was on & Terry & Gordon were praying for God to heal people. As Terry prayed, I prayed out loud, "God, if You love me heal my ankle."
Just as I said the last word. Terry looked up & spoke. "There is someone watching this program right now & you have sprained your ankle, you have your leg resting in the chair in front of you. God wants you to know that He loves you & He is healing your ankle right now."
Well, I did not try to find out if it was me but after the 15 minutes were up, I got up with no pain at all & skipped down the stairs. It was not a moment of great faith just a cry for some affection from someone who was supposed to love me.
Answer: Our church communities are not immune to evil.
In fact, one of the greatest victories Satan can achieve is the destruction of one of God's churches from within.
That is why I was so deeply saddened by the rot within the Catholic church, despite being Pentecostal myself.
I am so very sorry that your life took such a difficult turn, and that your church family hurt you when they should have been there to support you.
But, it seems that you are already aware that they are human and as bound by sin as any of us. They make mistakes, and can stray from God's word.
Yes, I do believe that God still works here on Earth through the power of the Holy Spirit.
I have been blessed to see the Holy Spirit at work many times throughout my life.
I will share with you my earliest memory, since it was the one that affected my faith the most.
When I was about 6, we visited a new church.
The preacher, a very charismatic man, walked up to my mother in the middle of the service and told her that God had just healed the pain in her side. He had never met my mother before. He had no way of knowing she had a tumor on her pancreas. My mother broke down in tears and there was much praising of the Lord that night.
I asked her when I was older about the incident. I recalled it very clearly, but I wasn't at an age at the time where she would have discussed her health with me.
She told me that the very next week her scans came back completely negative. It wasn't even remission. It was like she had never had a tumor at all, and of course the pain was gone with it.

And Luxury for All
Not all that long ago, the market for luxury goods consisted of people who lived in majestic houses with a full complement of servants, in some time-honored enclave of the privileged: they ordered their trunks from Louis Vuitton, their trousseaus from Christian Dior, their Dom Perignon by the case. Their taste was like their politics -- - Article by Holly Brubach profiles Bernard Arnault, chairman of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, and his role in making fashion luxury available to anyone with money to buy it; says Arnault was quick to understand that sense of entitlement transcends social class and that for those looking to set themselves apart from what used to be called the common folk, money is no longer enough; says Arnault maintains too many people have money and that in order to differentiate oneself from others with money you must know how to recognize the best; says Arnault is revising our notion of luxury and what it looks like through combined forces of his various trademarks, such as fashion house of Christian Dior; says Arnault believes that to run fashion house you must look to future, take risk of bringing in new ideas and use designers in their 30s, time when they are most creative; photos (L) - Holly Brubach is the style editor of the magazine. - By Holly Brubach

Book idea??
I have another book idea i want some oppinons on. Understant it started back in about 1991 and it looked like it was going to last some 20 books but i never got it past the last part.

Tom Mitchell is the best fighter pilot in the world. No one can touch him.
When Russian Seperatists seize a large portion of Russia and threatenMoscow, NATO gets involved. The Red Movement (the enemy) uses the situation to invade eastern europe in a attempt to stem NATOs response in Russia.
In steps Tom Mitchell. He loses his wingman on a run against a RM dam providing electricicity in occupied parts of Russia. But in the end he helps stop the RM advance long enough for Marines and Moscow guard to break out of Moscow and start to turn the tide.
Mitchel returns home (thought i might do some book on his life for the second book)
Third book: Mitchell is considering retiring. Hes a hero, and

things have calmed down in Europe and Russia. However remaints of the RM have resurfaced and plan revenge.
This camefrom a idea i had acouple years before this story got created.
They develop a under water base with a huge laser system. Using a series of mirrors they create a deadly web. Anything (person, ship) inside the web simple disintegrates.
As the worlds navies are wrecked by this laser, Mitchell comes out of the reserves (this originaly was going to kill him) and helps try to find the weapon.
Soon a sub finds a depth that goes under the laser and discovers the base.
Mitchell leads a air attack on the base but the RM has planes also (on islands). Mitchells main F-16 is destroyed but he escapes.
Suddendly they learn of a new threat. The RM has two nuclear missiles one for washingont and onefor moscow. In a race against time Mitchell sends his replacement F-4 phantom into a crash into the laser. Now the SEALS must disable the base before nuclear war.

Mitchell survives and comes back home. Hes wounded, tired, and ready to quit being a hero.
But a friend in the pentagon talks him into a new assignment. TOP GUN for Falcon pilots.
As Mitchell takes his new job trouble spreads in the Carribean. Castro wants power and the world no longer has a good navy to fight him.
As the carribean falls to his attakcs the U.S. must figure out what to do.
However, there is probems at home. Militia members are tired of a government that seems unable to please its people anymore.
Many military units also spilt as civil war erupts.
Mitchell is offered a chance to leave his school andwork for the president as National Security Advisor, and barely begins this job when the president and Vice President are killed.
Now the government is inshambles andeveryone looks to their main hero for leadership.
Meanwhile Europe, damaged by war, has changed shape. a new Nazi group,. the easter alliance has formed with some parts of europe.

sorry keep reading. not done yet
Mitchell takes the presidency as the Eastern Allaince allies with castro.
America is torn inhalf and no one is willingto fight togetehr even against a invasion.
Suddendly Mitchell as president is warned they will be invaded if he does not surrender. Facing a dire situation he agrees to a sort of surrender. He is told he will remain president while the country (and world) will answer to the Alliance.
But the alliance throws him out.
China and Japan hit the west coast and Europe the east.
But As strong as the alliance seems, Asia is in bad shape.
Now Mitchell, a exiled president, tries to form the militaty back into one group to repell the invasion.
However after a few attacks, the asians say they cant afford to stay.
With the west unoccupied, the Nazis plan to fully invade.
Now Mitchell must make a sacrifice. He fakes his death, andtakes on a new mission.
Using a old battleship and carrier he forms a batlte carrier.
now with a assorment of odd shipsand people they fight the easternallance across the atlantic and europe.
by the end the eastern alliance cancels its invasion and pulls out.
Mitchell returns but gives the presidency to a friend.
Now comes (so far) mitchells last mission.
Castro is still inpower and a threat.
Mitchell decides to fly to Havana and talk to him. But no one but a few know that he has a targeting device on him.
Mitchel guides a laser guided missile into the presidential palace killing castro and (at first) killing him.
ok so far thats the endof the series.
I thought a while back of having him wounded but surviving and facing crisis in the middle east and asia.
but i have also thought of ways to modernize it..
What if China was the Russia of the story, N. Korea starts a war. things like that.
please let me know what you think.
