CRISIS! NEED ADVICE ASAP!?
i am in a crisis, a major crossroad in me and my childrens lives. ok.......
i just recently found out my boyfriend (ex) has been molesting my daughter, who is 11, for the past year when i was at work busing my ass to provide for the family while he (bf) was "legally" disabled from a near-fatal car wreck. Ok, long story, so bear with me. i recently gave birth to a baby girl that we had been trying to conceive for the past 8 years (wed been together for 9 years) i got pregnant in june of 09 and gave birth to her in dec 09. while i was on hospital bedrest with her, he was caring for my 11 year old, which i had no problem with, cause after all, i had no one else to take care of her. anyways, 2 weeks ago, i come to find out everything. my daughter told me when/where it happened. when i confronted him, he denied it (of course) and blamed her for coming on to him and that she has a body of a 19 year old (yeah right) (hes 26 btw). i have yet to contact authorities because my daughter said she doesnt feel comfortable talking to any "detectives" or professionals......plus she is mildly mentally retarded which kind of hinders her concept of time and chain of events when they happened. also, because he is very conniving and basically talks his way out of the penal system, and would find a way to manipulate the situation and probably lie and say I did it!! SMDH! i dont want to lose my children over some fkn molester scandal, and i definately dont want him getting his hands on my new baby, so i demanded he leave my place. i guess he got lucky, cause a week later he had to turn himself into jail for other charges. he will be out in a few months. i am thinking now is the safest time to bring up charges, but first get a restraining order. he told me that he "wont let me leave him." and that hes madly in love with me. believe it or not, hes an excellent father to his baby, so far. he claimed he would never touch my daughter, and he would kill himself if he ever so much as thought of touching his own.
now, dont forget, i found out i was pregnant 2 weeks after i suspected something was going on. my daughter denied it at the time, i dont know if my suspicions made me stress my baby to come out early or what, but all i know is that the joy of FINALLY conceiving my new baby blinded me to all that was going on around me. its almost unreal that we were both clinically infertile, then all of a sudden i come up pregnant by him with a GIRL.
Im torn, how should i go about bringing up charges without myself somehow getting into trouble (you know they always find a way to blame the mother for the father/mans/bfs actions, even though the mother was oblivious to things).
also, i love my daughter to death, but im beginning to think that she was conceived to bring bad karma on him, so that he could see what its like to have a little girl who gets preyed upon by some weirdo. why else would i get pregnant by him after so many years WHILE hes molesting my daughter???? strange!
i even filed for a restraining order on him when we broke up back in 2007. i wen tot court, the judge granted it, but when the sheriffs came to serve him the restraining order, he took off in his car, so therefore, it wasnt "technically" served. SMDH! afford to move right now, so he basically has had every right to be in MY apartment. i cant seem to get rid of him
on the other hand, i feel she is a blessing to me because i literally got down on my hands and knees and begged God that i conceive a baby girl. i always wanted two daughters, and i got them.
i want to know what kind of man DEMANDS his women to stay with him after being accused of child molestation??? is he obsessed? is it a fatal attraction. do you all think he would hunt us down and/or become violent if we left and he found us? he isnt physically violent, but hes one hell of a manipulator and a verbal/psychological/emotional abuser!
any advice on how to cope. i am dealing with so much right now. the feeling of having a live baby in my arms after 8 years of trying to conceive.....mixed with the rage i feel for what he possibly did to my daughter......mixed with the fatigue of dealing with 2 special needs children, one of which is a preemie newborn.
i know what to do, but then again, i DONT know what to do, or where to start.
PS...........he has also had me thrown in jail for domestic violence, although he started the fight and i merely defended myself. he had the most bruises, so i automatically went to jail, but the judge dropped my case, cause i had no priors and was his word against mine (although he does have a record).
i know this sounds like a Lifetime movie, but this is my reality/life, so please, serious answers/advice only!
@ hubbabubba. i meant it when i said my daughter is mildly mentally retarded. i mentioned this because children of that mind state have a major difficulty with time-lined events. if i ask her something that happened 2 months ago, shell refer to the event as "the other other other day" i know what i need to do, but wan to go about it in a way that he CANT pu tme in the middle of this, as he has before with the law! dont you know they barrest the women/mothers these days. why you thgink i got arrested for domestic violence when i merely defended myself. he LIED to the sheriffs, and he will LIE again. its basically his words against the words of a "retarded child" thats how i think the law will see it. i have called the cops on him numerous of times from my apt, and all he does is run off in his car, and when the cops arrive, they look at me as a joke. in my state you just cant put some one out, you have to evict them, and the judge has to approve of the restraining order.
@ Orla. his name is already on the birth certificate. he was there when i gave birth. at that point, my daughter had not come out and said anything about molestation.
@ babyclam. he is in jail right now on other charges. he has not been around either of my children since i confronted him. he ran off which pretty much means hes guilty, IMO. i just want to move to another state and file charges from that state. i think he will be on probation when he gets out, so he wont leave the state were in. if i had the money i would pick up and leave. i am on pregnancy disability right now, so you know im no baller at the moment! thanks for the advice
@sillymii. i have talked to comforted and consoled my daughter. she seems ok. i let her cry on my shoulder and vent several times. she never talks about it. her school teachers and staff havent noticed any drop in grades or weird behaviors from her. no one has. i seek counseling for her and myself. everything was going smoothly for a long time, then i get hit with the unimaginable all at once: a miracle baby, my child molested, amongst other happenings. its just a matter of me clearing my mind so we can move forward and get justice. also, i am still in shock of the subtle warning signs that i overlooked, usually i am very perceptive and cant be outwitted. like for instance, he stopped sleeping with me.....i would have NEVER thought he was doing things to my daughter instead. he suddenly had an interest in "women who weigh around 120 and had dark skin" thats my daughters description. who woulda thunk??? and to think I was having "good touch, bad touch" talks with her the whole time

also, i love my daughter to death, but im beginning to think that she was conceived to bring bad karma on him, so that he could see what its like to have a little girl who gets preyed upon by some weirdo. why else would i get pregnant by him after so many years WHILE hes molesting my daughter???? strange!
i even filed for a restraining order on him when we broke up back in 2007. i wen tot court, the judge granted it, but when the sheriffs came to serve him the restraining order, he took off in his car, so therefore, it wasnt "technically" served. SMDH! afford to move right now, so he basically has had every right to be in MY apartment. i cant seem to get rid of him
on the other hand, i feel she is a blessing to me because i literally got down on my hands and knees and begged God that i conceive a baby girl. i always wanted two daughters, and i got them.
i want to know what kind of man DEMANDS his women to stay with him after being accused of child molestation??? is he obsessed? is it a fatal attraction. do you all think he would hunt us down and/or become violent if we left and he found us? he isnt physically violent, but hes one hell of a manipulator and a verbal/psychological/emotional abuser!
any advice on how to cope. i am dealing with so much right now. the feeling of having a live baby in my arms after 8 years of trying to conceive.....mixed with the rage i feel for what he possibly did to my daughter......mixed with the fatigue of dealing with 2 special needs children, one of which is a preemie newborn.
i know what to do, but then again, i DONT know what to do, or where to start.
PS...........he has also had me thrown in jail for domestic violence, although he started the fight and i merely defended myself. he had the most bruises, so i automatically went to jail, but the judge dropped my case, cause i had no priors and was his word against mine (although he does have a record).
i know this sounds like a Lifetime movie, but this is my reality/life, so please, serious answers/advice only!
@ bk. i dont really have a question. i just need good advice on how to go about this without him manipulating the situation to make himself look innocent and me guilty. plus, he said she has the body of a 19 y/o AFTER i confronted him. never would i allow a man to say that and stat with him. you made it seem like he said that out of the blue and i chose to stick by his side! hes not crazy like i think, because when i was arrested for domestic violence, the sheriff decided not to arrest him, but instead take him to a psych ward for 72 hours: he was ruled out NOT crazy. i let him care for my daughter while i was on bedrest because i was admitted to bedrest during my 23rd week...........i had dilated 4 cm and didnt know it nor feel it. i was at a random prenatal appt. i was stuck in the hospital for 6 weeks with no one else to care for her. i cant trust my family cause all they will do is fight over who will keep her for her disability check, and my own mother already kidnapped her b4
Answer: What exactly is your question? Are you wanting advice as to whether or not you should report this to law enforcement? It sounds to me you are paranoid that you will get in trouble and be accused of letting this happen. And don't sit here and say you were oblivious, because if you were, you wouldn't have suspected something was going on like you said you did in the second paragraph of this story when you were two weeks pregnant. Pull your head out, and get that child the help she needs. Obviously he did something with him making the statement that she had the body of a 19 year old. You knew exactly what was going on. That little girl is ashamed, traumatized and is probably going to be scarred for life from what has happened. The last thing you should be doing right now is sitting on your a** writing about it on the internet, you should take that child to a doctor. There, I'm done.
