i had seen on a home improvement show some years back where they replaced a standard threshold with a barrier free one for wheelchair access eaze...i am now in need of one myself for my home and cant find one and none of my home improvement stores even know what i am talking about..this threshold would eliminate the wooden lip so you can wheel right in...i would appreciate if anyone has any information on this..thanks
Answer: You will have to remove the existing threshold and install a low-rise threshold. The threshold is 3/8" tall and then you'll have to install a door sweep on the existing door to keep moisture out.
