What do U think of these lastest arrests & the amount of fruad involved Illegals try to bribe DMV?
Three Hispanics believed to be here illegally face charges of bribing a Gaston County driver license examiner with $300 to get a driver’s license, according to arrest warrants and affidavits.
DMV inspectors arrested Claudia Morales Rodriguez, 29, and Alfredo Lopez Hernandez, 29, both of Gastonia, and Juan Alberto Goddy Vasquez, 37, of Kings Mountain on charges of attempting to bribe a state driver license examiner to obtain a driver’s license.
All three are believed to be in the country illegally, according to the DMV. They were placed in Gaston County Jail under $10,000 bonds Monday. Their release remains on hold by Immigration and Customs Enforcement pending a review of their immigration status, according to Gaston County Sheriffs Office.
The arrests stem from an investigation of a document lab that had equipment and materials to manufacture counterfeit resident alien cards, Social Security cards, birth certificates and driver licenses from six states, according to a release from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
DMV inspectors arrested Mario Ziranda, 35, and Elvis Sanchez, 28, at their residence at 272 Roberson Lane, Forest City. They face charges of common law forgery, manufacturing North Carolina driver licenses, felony trafficking of identification documents, possession and delivery of cocaine and misuse of vital records.
Searching the Forest City residence revealed ledgers showing hundreds of fake document sales weekly, according to the release. Driver licenses from California, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Ohio and North Carolina were found at the location, along with Social Security cards and a Maryland birth certificate. Investigators also seized $8,000 in cash and 15 grams of cocaine.
Sanchez has no legal United States documentation, according to the release. Both are being held on $75,000 secured bond in Rutherford County Jail.
DMV spokeswoman Marge Howell said she didn’t know how the three suspects in Gaston County were connected to the Rutherford County suspects, but all were part of the same investigation.
“We have had a lot of these things happen, pop up all over the state,” Howell said.
The License and Theft Bureau performs more than 3,600 fraud investigations annually, Howell said.
“A lot of them are fraudulent document cases,” Howell said.
License and theft inspectors from Gaston, Burke, Lincoln, Catawba and Cleveland counties conducted the investigations and made the arrests, according to the release. Law enforcement officials from the Gastonia Police Department, Forest City Police Department and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrests.
Gastonia Police Sgt. Jimmy West said none of the trio arrested in Gaston County spoke English. One had been here 15 years, another had been here for nine years and the third had been here for six years, he said.
“We’ve always had issues with fake driver’s licenses, fake ID cards,” West said.
This isn’t the first investigation like this in the county and it won’t be the last, West said.
In July, two Hispanic men offered $400 each to a local DMV license examiner to get N.C. driver’s licenses while a third tried to use the identity of someone else to obtain one for him. They, too, were believed to be in the country illegally.
“When they come out here they’re looking for a better life. You can’t fault them for that,” West said. “But they don’t do it the right way.”
Answer: You can fault them for that, they are doing it illegally. They should be prosecuted and deported with a life time ban. When is our government going to realize these people know exactly the crimes they are committing and deport them all back where they belong.

West Point Grad Arrested For Defending Woman Abused By Austin Police, What would the charge be for?
His name is Pat Oborski, an Austin TX Police Department officer who is getting a lot of notoriety lately, not because he arrested over 300 people in 2010 for dwi for which M.A.D.D. recognized him as a hero, but rather Officer Oborski is the man who assaulted Antonio Buehler.
http://www.kvue.com/news/local/MADD-recognizes-everyday-heroes-at-Austin-award-ceremony-123577459.htmlJust after 1 am Sunday morning at an Austin TX gas station on the corner of 10th Street and Lamar Blvd, Buehler had stopped for gas on his way home from a New Year’s party where he was the designated driver. He heard a loud scream and noticed a young woman being “violently yanked” from a car by a cop, which turned out to be Officer Snider. The woman had been a passenger in a car stopped for possible dwi. Pat Oborski assisted his partner by throwing the woman to the ground on her knees, cuffing and dragging her. Buehler took out his phone and started photographing the incident when Pat Oborski approached him asking “what the hell” he was taking pictures for. Buehler informed Oborski he was a public official in a public place and photography was permitted. Oborski claimed Buehler was interferring with his investigation and shoved Buehler’s chest, pushing him against a truck, before arresting him. Oborski claims Buehler spit in his face, which Buehler denies. Buehler was charged with 3rd degree felony harassment of a public servant. Strange, since spitting in a cop’s face usually gets a person an assault charge.
“I would not get involved in police action,” says Buehler, “unless they were doing something heinous such as man-handling a woman who was no threat to them. There are two criminals on the loose; they are looking to get into fights. They wear blue, are armed and wear badges,” Buehler added.

Raid here ends girls captivity as a sex slave Feds say couple lured her from Mexico at age 13
Metro police took part in a raid this week at this apartment in the Dominion House apartment complex. Federal authorities say a teenage girl from Mexico was held there as a sex slave. SHAUNA BITTLE / THE TENNESSEAN By SHEILA BURKE Staff Writer
Published: Saturday, 11/11/06 She is known in federal court documents only as "S.M.C."
At the age of 13, they say, she was smuggled into the U.S. from Oaxaca, Mexico, the first leg of a horrific journey that led her to a Harding Place area apartment. There she was beaten, raped and forced into a life of prostitution — an ordeal requiring her to have sex with as many as 40 men a day.
This week federal authorities said they arrested two people and charged them with the sex trafficking of children. Juan Mendez and Cristina Andres Perfecto, both of Nashville, were named Thursday in a complaint filed in federal court in Memphis.
Federal officials in Memphis, who began the investigation, and Metro police, who assisted in a raid at the Harding Place area apartment last week, said it is the first case to their knowledge involving children smuggled into the country to be forced into the sex trade.
"Obviously, were concerned about it, and its certainly our intention to keep this investigation going," said Lee Anne Jordon, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorneys office in Memphis.
Investigators will be as aggressive as possible to stop the trafficking, Jordon said.
Federal authorities said its too early to tell how large the ring was or whether all perpetrators have been found.
The girl, now 15, is the only juvenile victim identified, Jordon said.
However, court documents say the victims cousin and other women also have been forced to sell their bodies. Like the teen, officials said, they were lured to this country by a promise of honest jobs in the U.S. so they could send money back to their families.
In an interview Friday, Mendezs wife said she didnt know anything about the charges and that she had not seen her husband in more than a week.
"Im not sure whats going on, but Im not going to let him run around with other women," Maria Rita Hernandez said through an interpreter outside her apartment on Hickory Trace Drive in south Nashville.
She said she has lived in Nashville for the past five years and that she and Mendez have two children, ages 5 and 1.
It was a series of raids at Memphis brothels that led federal authorities to Mendez and Perfecto, FBI agent Randy Thysse said.
After the raids, a man the girl had befriended who ran a brothel in Memphis tipped off federal authorities about the trafficking ring and about the girl.
They found her after Smyrna police received a tip. Afterward, she was taken into the custody of the state Department of Childrens Services.
She is now in a foster home of Spanish-speaking people and will get counseling and any other treatment she needs, DCS spokesman Rob Johnson said.
"Under the circumstances, given all thats happened, this girls doing well — all things considered," he said.
Eventually the goal will be to reunite her with her family, but DCS investigators will be looking closely at the circumstances that led her to this country, he said.
Court documents say that in August 2005 Perfecto went to the girls family of farm laborers in a rural area of Mexico. She told them that Mendez, her boyfriend, could help the girl get a job as a waitress in a Nashville restaurant.
She assured the girls family that she would make enough money to send some back home.
Perfecto, authorities said, told the girl that she and Mendez would have to pay smugglers $3,000 to get her into the United States and that she would have to repay that once she started working.
Perfecto and the teenager were captured twice by the U.S. Border Patrol but eventually were able to make it to the United States. Once in Nashville, she met Mendez and was taken to an apartment at 5099 Linbar Drive.
There, court documents allege, Mendez raped her and threatened to kill her family if she did not work as a prostitute. She was 14 at the time.
The girl told investigators that she was a virgin when she arrived in Nashville and described the rape as very painful.
Two weeks later, court documents say, Mendez took her to a Kentucky brothel and forced her to have sex with 14 people on the first day. Afterward she was sick with a headache and severe pelvic inflammation and had to be hospitalized for several days.
Mendez let her rest for two weeks after her release from the hospital but then forced her to work as a prostitute in Nashville, Knoxville, Memphis, Birmingham, Ala., and other cities, the federal documents say.
She was never allowed to leave unescorted and never ran away because she was afraid for her family, the account says. Authorities arrested 29 people, 10 of whom have been indicted, federal officials said.
Last Saturday agents with the bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement took Mendez and Perfecto into custody.
A 2004 federal Department of Justice report estimates that between 14,500 and 17,500 people annually in the U.S. are victims of human trafficking, either forced to work as prostitutes or laborers.
An international relief organization with a hub in Nashville will begin training Metro police next year to investigate sex trafficking.
"Its very new for us to have on our radar in Tennessee, but" sex trafficking is "not a new thing," said Amber Beckham, coordinator for World Reliefs Network of Emergency Trafficking Services. •
